About TJ’s Leathercraft
TJ’s Leathercraft was born out of a belief in freedom and a dream of working together to support a simple lifestyle. We are a family-owned business owned by Terri and Nathan and are committed to supporting a sustainable leathercraft community with traditional leathercraft techniques.
Our workshop is in West Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.
Between us we have over 35 years’ experience in traditional leathercraft skills and we both have a qualifications and experience in education.
We have been doing leathercraft together since 2021 and TJ’s Leathercraft was registered in March of 2022.
We use premium full grain, veg-tanned leather.
All hides arriving at our workshop are put on our cutting for a simple smudging ceremony to honour the animal and promise to use its hide with respect.
Our focus is on making quality products and sharing traditional leathercraft skills with others so they can make quality products. We are part of a responsibility to ensure the arts of leathercraft are passed to next generations, as they have been to us.
